Before production could start, the folks at Hurst needed to design and build a working prototype. In order to accomplish this, they contracted with the now famed, Chuck Miller. Chuck, working from sketches and drawings created the car you see here. This car was restored back to the original version known as “The Elephant Tusk Car” for its radical rear wing which is likened to the elephant tusk. The executives at Oldsmobile and Hurst, made a few changes most notably, the removal of the wild elephant tusk rear spoiler.
